As a beat maker for over 30 yerars and who still loves the physical hunt for obscure vinyl i really appreciate this latest episode from Alchemist Youtube channel. The way he explained the mindset of those of us that love this art form and this ritual of spending hours in record stores, yard sales, thrift stores and more is just 100% spot on. For me its a whole day thing, combined with food, visual stimuli and being around artistic people.
In the video Alchemist say’s “we are demented”, meaning beat makers who love creating the way we do, looking and collecting vinyl for hours to find 10 second loops in a unique breed of human, adn I’m proud to be one. Absoulutely dope video by The Alchemist,
