Staten Island, NY’s Squeegie Oblong returns with new single “Beware” from the forthcoming Tanface LP (to drop digitally August 15th with physicals available August 21st via Razor Waves Records & Icy Palms Records) Produced entirely by Blaq Knight with features from Mytha Cvla and O The Great. Speaking on the significance of the album’s title Squeegie relayed:
“the color tan stood out to me in the creation of the project. I decided to look up the meaning and the spiritual properties of tan. I found some of the meaning’s balance, stability and the ideal of spiritual growth being grounded and one with the universe. It connects with the energy that I’m conveying to the listener”
“Beware” – is an introspective boom-bap nugget and inspired by social anxiety or as Squeegie reveals “dealing with the wrong people both family and friends. Reflecting on past situations that I don’t wanna be bothered with anymore.”
